On Monday in Riga, the prestigious competition “Wine + Dessert Latvia 2026” was held for the second time, celebrating the art of pairing wines with desserts and collaboration between chefs and sommeliers. This year, fourteen restaurants from Cesis, Jurmala, Riga, Ligatne presented their gastronomic duets. The event took place at the Whitehouse restaurant, gathering industry professionals and fine dining enthusiasts, including world’s best pastry chef Rene Frank from Berlin, and world’s best sommelier, Latvian Raimonds Tomsons, international journalists.
Rīgā otro reizi norisinājās prestižais konkurss “Wine + Dessert Latvia 2026”, kas veltīts vīna un deserta saderības mākslai un pavāru un vīnziņu sadarbībai. Šogad četrpadsmit restorāni no Cēsīm, Jūrmalas, Rīgas un Līgatnes prezentēja savus gastronomiskos duetus. Pasākums notika restorānā “Whitehouse”, pulcējot nozares profesionāļus un augstās gastronomijas cienītājus, tostarp pasaules labāko konditoru Renē Franku no Berlīnes, pasaules labāko vīnzini, latvieti Raimondu Tomsonu, kā arī starptautiskos žurnālistus.
On Sunday, 16 November, during the annual gastronomy festival “Maitsev Eesti”, the first-ever Estonian Wine and Dessert Pairing Contest took place in Tallinn. Originating in Lithuania, the event attracted 14 local teams and crowned its inaugural winners. The main prize — the Golden Fork — and the historic title went to the Michelin-starred restaurant “NOA Chef’s Hall” and the “Restaurant NOA” team. Second place was awarded to “Humal Bistro”, and third place to “Sadu Resto”.
Vilniuje spalio 27 d. vyksiantis jubiliejinis – jau 15-asis – „Wine+Dessert – DVARO Grand Prix“ čempionatas šiemet pritraukė ne tik Lietuvos, bet ir užsienio gastronomijos ekspertų dėmesį. Renginio organizatoriai kviečia registruotis komandas bei žada daugiau naujienų.
