The 16th edition of the exhibition of wine and other beverages Vyno Dienos will take place at the Litexpo Exhibition and Congress Centre on 6-7th May. The most important wine distributors and producers of the country, foreign wineries, producers of kombucha, cider, beer, cider, tequila, whiskey, and other beverages will present their products at the exhibition. The largest drinks fair in Northern Europe traditionally invites amateurs and professionals to seminars, tastings, lectures and forums. The winners of the LSA Lithuanian Wine Championship will be awarded.
Vyno Dienos is primarily an educational event for visitors, and every year it is complemented by the latest news from the world of beverages and new forms of communication between producers and consumers," says Arūnas Starkus, the initiator of the exhibition. - That is why this year we have made a great effort to give visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with Ukrainian winemaking. Wineries in this country are going through very difficult times - many of them are under Russian occupation, destroyed and looted. Since the outbreak of the war, the country has lost over 60% of its export markets, and the internal sale of alcohol was banned for a month. Until now, we in Lithuania knew little about the type and quality of wine produced there. We are therefore delighted that the winemakers have sent samples of their wines and will join us online for tasting on Saturday, 7 May. We hope it will help them discover the Lithuanian market."
The exhibition will bring together winemakers and producers from France, Portugal, Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany, Estonia, Denmark, Latvia, Hungary, Sakartvelo, Armenia and other countries.
Another new feature of the show is the permanent "ABC of Blic wine" tastings at the Lithuanian Sommelier School stand for those who want to learn the basics of wine tasting and responsible behaviour at the wine events. The exhibition is held under the motto of moderation and is a member of the international association "Wine in Moderation". Throughout Friday, there will be talks on "Wine Days TV" - a live forum where economists, politicians, viticulturists, sommeliers, wine experts, beverage and accessory producers will discuss the prospects for the development of viticulture in Lithuania, the legal environment for wine production and trade, the popularity of non-alcoholic drinks, and the changes in consumption in recent years. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to compete in the wine tasting championship "Nosis".
